Install the integration with Indeed

Complete the integration setup in Indeed Integrations Hub.

 

Who: Oracle HCM administrator and Indeed Employer Home administrator

Time: ~10 minutes (one-time setup)

Complete the integration setup in Indeed Integrations Hub by entering Oracle credentials, uploading the configuration package, testing the connection, and activating the integration. Use an admin account for these steps.

Step 1: Access the integration setup

1. On the Indeed Employer homepage, click Integrations on your account dropdown.

2. In the Find your ATS search box, type Oracle and click the Oracle icon. If Oracle doesn't appear, toggle from For you to All.

3. Click Get started.

Step 2: Plan and configure

1. Click I'm ready to start now, then select Continue.

   

   Confirm you're ready to begin the installation

2. Verify that you completed the Configure Oracle HCM section. Select the checkbox and click Confirm.

Step 3: Upload configuration package to Oracle

1. Select your Oracle version. To find your version, see Oracle version instructions.

2. Download the ZIP file.

3. In Oracle HCM, click Profile (top right).

4. On Settings and Actions, click Setup and Maintenance.

5. Click the Page icon (far right).

6. On the right pane, click Manage Configuration Packages.

7. Click Upload.

8. Click Choose File and select the downloaded ZIP file.

9. Follow the prompts to complete the upload.

10. Process the configuration package. Oracle creates an Indeed Direct Apply profile.

11. Verify the Indeed Direct Apply profile is Active. The profile must be active for the connection to work.

Step 4: Test your configuration

Enter test credentials and verify the job feed before going live.

1. Enter:

   • API URL
   • API username and password (from Configure Oracle HCM)

   Click Continue.

2. Choose a company name setting:

   • Use organization names from Oracle
   • Use a custom company name
   • Use an Oracle descriptive flexfield

3. (Optional) Configure compensation data from one or two Oracle descriptive flexfields.

4. Click Download to review your jobs and verify mapping accuracy. Contact Indeed support with questions.

   If the job details are accurate, select the checkbox and click Continue.

5. If the job connection is accurate, select the checkbox and click Continue to production.

   

   Confirm testing is complete and proceed to production setup

Step 5: Prepare to go live

Configure production credentials and activate the integration.

1. Enter production credentials, select the checkbox, and click Verify production credentials.

2. Create API credentials at secure.indeed.com/account/apikeys/register. Give the application a name and description for this integration.

   Important:

   • Select OAuth 2.0 for credential type (not Indeed Apply)
   • Ensure that only Client Credentials is checked in the Select OAuth grant types step
   • The fields in the Provide additional information step are optional
   • Confirm all entered information is correct before proceeding

   Enter the client ID in the installation checklist. Save the client ID and secret securely.

3. Enter the following information in Oracle. Refer to these instructions on the Oracle website:

   • Client ID
   • Client secret
   • Reference key

   Click Continue.

4. Ensure application status changes are configured to be sent automatically. Refer to these instructions on the Oracle website.

5. Choose one of the following company name settings for production:

   • Use organization names from Oracle
   • Use a custom company name
   • Use an Oracle descriptive flexfield

6. (Optional) Configure compensation data from one or two Oracle descriptive flexfields.

7. Click Download to review a spreadsheet with your jobs and verify mapping accuracy. If you have questions or concerns, reach out to Indeed support.

   These jobs appear in production.

   If the job details are accurate, the job feed is connected correctly. Select the checkbox and click Continue.

8. Indeed reviews the configuration for accuracy. The Installation complete screen appears when review is finished.

   

   Integration installation is complete

• Uploaded Oracle configuration package
• Configured and tested credentials
• Verified job feed in test and production
• Activated the integration
• Set up OAuth credentials for hiring stage sync

Your Oracle HCM integration is active. Jobs sync to Indeed automatically.
