Legacy x509 installation

These steps document the original x509 certificate installation for the Indeed Workday integration. New integrations use refresh-token authentication instead. To replace an expiring certificate, see Legacy x509 authentication.

Step 1: Create the Indeed x509 public key

1. Search for Create x509 Public Key, and select the Task.

2. Copy the following certificate:

3. Paste the copied text into the empty Certificate field.

   Copy all text in the code block, including -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- and -----END CERTIFICATE-----.

4. Select OK to save.

Step 2: Enable OAuth 2.0 clients

1. Search for Edit Tenant Setup - Security, and select the Task.

2. In the OAuth 2.0 Settings section, select the OAuth 2.0 Clients Enabled checkbox.

3. Select OK to save.

Step 3: Register the API client

1. Search for Register API Client, and select the Task.

2. In the Client Name field, enter Indeed.

3. For Client Grant Type, select JWT Bearer Grant.

4. In the x509 Certificate field, enter Indeed.

5. For Access Token Type, select Bearer.

6. In the Scope (Functional Areas) field, add these functional areas:

   • Organization and Roles
   • Pre-Hire Process
   • Public Data
   • Recruiting
   • System
   • Worker Profile and Skills
   • Integration
   • Tenant Non-Configurable

7. Select OK to save.
