Field mappings for Workday to Indeed job sync.
This reference shows how Workday fields map to Indeed job posting fields. Use it to troubleshoot job sync issues, verify required data, and identify which Workday fields control your Indeed job postings.
How to use this reference
When you troubleshoot:
- Confirm that every required field contains valid data in Workday.
- Confirm that job postings are Active and External.
- Confirm that locations are Active in Workday.
- Review field requirements for missing or invalid data.
Field requirements:
- Required – The field must contain valid data for jobs to appear on Indeed.
- Optional – The field improves job postings but is not required.
Warning
Every job posting must include either a Job Requisition or an Evergreen Requisition. Indeed does not sync jobs without a requisition reference.

Troubleshooting
Use this section to troubleshoot common job sync issues.
Jobs not appearing on Indeed
Check these required fields:
- Job Posting – Active and External
- Job Requisition or Evergreen Requisition – Open and referenced from the Job Posting
- Country and City – Present in the Primary Location
- Location – Active in Workday
- Company – Organization is Active and contains data
Jobs appearing with incorrect information
Verify the field mappings:
- In the previous table, find the Workday field that maps to the incorrect Indeed field.
- Confirm that the Workday field contains the expected data.
- Confirm that related objects, such as locations and organizations, are Active.
Location data missing or incorrect
Common issues:
- The Primary Location is not Active in Workday.
- The Country or City field in the Location Address Data is empty.
- The Location Reference in the Job Posting is incorrect.
