Partner
I am interested in partnering with Indeed, where can I learn more?
Indeed builds technical partnerships to deliver seamless and secure hiring solutions across platforms. Learn more and complete the form on this page to tell us about your partnership goals.
My request for partnership was deferred, when can I expect to hear back from Indeed?
We are actively working to expand our team's capacity. We strongly encourage you to provide your company’s estimated annual job volume, so we can make sure your integration request is as comprehensive as possible for accurate prioritization by our teams. We will follow-up with you at the email address provided when we are able to take the next steps.
How do I become a tiered partner?
Our program refreshes annually every June. Partners must submit proof of eligibility through the Google Form attached in the program announcement email. Indeed’s tiered partners are updated annually, based on the most up-to-date status of their Indeed integrations, as tracked by our internal systems. After initial launch, adoption criteria must be met for two consecutive quarters and maintained at that rate throughout the fiscal / program year.
When will I be notified if I qualify as a tiered partner?
We will notify qualifying partners via email in June, before publication of the inaugural class of tiered partners in July on indeed.com.
How can I obtain dedicated support through the Tiering Program?
All of our integrated partners receive technical support for their integrations with Indeed. We provide onboarding and integration launch support to Silver Tier partners, and a dedicated partner manager to our Platinum partners. To receive a dedicated partner manager, partners need to meet the criteria outlined in our Platinum Tier.
Dedicated partner management is not required to deliver a highly impactful integration to our shared customers.
Does the same tiering criteria apply to all partners, including those outside the US market?
Currently, we are only allowing ATS platforms to be a part of this program. All ATS partners, exclusive of Japanese companies, are able to qualify for our tiering program, if they meet the designated criteria, regardless of their country of operation. Indeed has a Japanese-specific tiering program for those regional partners.
How will I be able to receive support for my integration if I do not have a dedicated partner manager?
Indeed provides integration support to all of our partners through our Integrations Delivery team. While tiered partners receive priority technical support, all partners can receive support by navigating to the support form in Partner Console.
Can I lose my tiered status once it is obtained?
Partners will receive a warning after one quarter not meeting the adoption rate. If improvement is not seen, partners will risk losing their tier benefit after the second consecutive quarter of non-qualification.
Active integrations must continue to be serviceable throughout the program year. Partners must update integrations according to Indeed’s product release or update schedule. Partners failing to maintain their integration at any time risk losing their tier benefits.
Why is it important for my ATS to enable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and knockout questions in our Indeed Apply integration?
A common reason employers opt-out of Indeed Apply integrations is because they do not support voluntary EEO and required knockout questions.
My system already controls the demarcation of EEO questions in the application process, why do I need to support this feature through Indeed?
Indeed has a new company-wide requirement that all integrations must have the capability to support screener questions and must flag EEO questions for US jobs. The employer remains responsible for how they ask the demographic questions. By requiring that all integrations support the flagging of EEO questions for US jobs, we aim to drive higher-quality integrations that provide job seekers with a consistent experience.
I cannot force my clients to send disposition signals, why are we being held accountable for our clients’ actions?
We understand that our ATS Partners cannot control how their clients move candidates through the hiring funnel. Our Disposition Signal adoption rates are measured as the total percentage of Indeed Applyable jobs in which a signal is sent. That is, if we receive confirmation that the job was received by ATS, that is a signal sent. We do, however, encourage Partners to map all of our quality disposition signals and encourage their clients to utilize them, and automate the release of signals to Indeed after application milestones are achieved, to improve the performance of their Indeed Apply integration, and build a higher-quality pipeline over time.
How does the Disposition Sync integration work?
In the ATS, when an employer makes a change in status of an Indeed candidate, the ATS transmits the new status signal, along with an anonymized application ID and a date/time stamp.
How is Indeed using Disposition data to increase the quality of applications?
The disposition data that Indeed collects from global ATSs is being aggregated and analyzed by the job seeker product team. Disposition data is used to improve targeting of job advertisements and the application experience in order to help candidates better understand how the skills on their resumes meet your requirements.
How can I push clients to send better disposition signals?
A great way to encourage client participation in disposition data when they are already opted in is to discuss the importance of moving candidates through the stages within their ATS. For example, after reviewing a CV, change the status to “reviewed/screened” and so on.
The statuses will vary depending on your ATS but the most important thing is that Indeed receives as many updates as possible for each of the candidates in the employer’s pipeline.
Some of the benefits for clients using continuous stage/status updates might be:
- Employers help Indeed provide better matched candidates in the future.
- Employers can quickly identify which roles they do/do not have enough candidates for. This allows the client to shift focus and budget to roles that are struggling.
- Employers can get a better understanding of hiring timelines from analyzing how long each stage of the process typically takes
What signals are considered quality?
Indeed defines quality signals as those beyond just that of “New” and “Unable to Map.” To be eligible for tiered status, an ATS must have a minimum quality signal adoption rate of 55%.
How do you define an 85% adoption rate for Disposition Sync?
Indeed measures an ATS’s disposition adoption rate by the number of Indeed Applyable jobs that are sending disposition signals back to Indeed. This is to say that if all of your clients are opted-in to Indeed Apply, and the ATS sends Indeed confirmation of receipt of applicants, then you would have a 100% disposition adoption rate. If 50% of your clients are opted-in to Indeed Apply, but you are sending disposition signals on all of those jobs, then you would have a disposition adoption rate of 100%.
What are salary and location fields?
Salary and location fields are data nodes that Partners can send to Indeed with their clients’ jobs. Salary is one of the most important pieces of information according to job seekers (e.g., $50,000 per year or $4,000-$5,000 per month).
Job location is one of the most frequently requested details for a job description, and ideally has the most precision possible (e.g., 10 Main Street, City, State, 55555 or 55555 -postal code alone for mobile jobs).
Salary XML Node Examples
<salary><![CDATA[$50000 per year]]></salary>
<salary><![CDATA[$4000 - $5000 per month]]></salary>
Precise Location XML Node Examples
<streetaddress><![CDATA[10 Main St City, State, 55555]]></streetaddress>
<postalcode><![CDATA[55555]]></postalcode>
- Continue to use
<city>
,<state>
, and<country>
- For remote jobs, follow our online documentation guidance.
Jobs with salary and precise location perform better. Sponsored indexed jobs with salary and precise location receive:
Why should I migrate to the Job Sync API?
The Job Sync API has already shown a reduction in time to post jobs by 3+ hours2. Additionally, ATS partners building to the Job Sync API saw an Indeed Apply adoption rate of 70 percent whereas Partners building via an XML feed had an average 50 percent adoption rate2.
We have heard various feedback from our Partners around the lack of insight into job visibility, and lack of consistent information sharing amongst partners and employers. Clients seeing issues but their ATS not seeing the same information results in lag between issue identification and resolutions and increased time to implement necessary changes. Indeed is prioritizing job status and job visibility capabilities via the Job Sync API. Tiered Partners will be prioritized for early access to these new features when they become available.
What are the qualification timelines? How does this relate to the Indeed Apply policy?
The annual deadline to meet the 2025 Partner Program criteria is June 1, 2025. However, to be eligible for tiering, you have to have met our original deadline for Indeed Apply compliance of April 1, 2025.
Deadline | Requirement |
---|---|
April 1, 2025 | Indeed Apply Policy for all partners Indeed Apply integrations are required to have:
|
June 1, 2025 | Achieve tiered status in 2025 2025 Partner Program requirements |
Delayed deadline for Job Sync API Migration
For Partners who commit to migrating to the Job Sync API to achieve Gold or Platinum status, the deadline to complete development work and go live is October 1, 2025. 2025 Tiered Partners will be published on July 1, 2025. If a Partner commits to launching to achieve tiered status and does not go live by October 1, 2025, they will lose their tiered status.
